Wishcasting Wednesday: What I Wish to Step Into
As I was sitting on the bench at the beach in Washington, I wondered what it would be like to live my life as if I were always in that moment. A moment of being fully present. A moment of pushing a bit outside my daily routine. A moment of engaging nature, of moving more, of eating more naturally. A moment of collaborative creativity. A moment of full breaths and deep, well-felt relational intimacy with those around me. (Big moment, huh?) Now each of these things I, of course, do to some degree in my life. But I wanted to know what it would be like to live my perception of a Northwestern life while I was home in the South.
So…I snapped this picture to remind me of my wish….it is perfect for this week’s Wishcast. Continue reading

Fat Girl in a Fit City
Early this year, the news broke. Men’s Health magazine ranked my hometown, Corpus Christi, Texas, the fattest city in the USA. This week as I have started making plans to travel West to Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington, I have begun thinking about what it might feel like to be a FAT girl in a FIT city. Wishcasting Wednesday: What I want less of
As a young lady of 21, I dreamed of stepping out on my own. My wedding was just months away and life was mine for the living. One fateful afternoon, I lost my mother. First to a coma and then … Continue reading
