Practical Magic Revisited {Video Review}
The days are ticking down to the second annual Practical Magic Blog Party. This could raise a few questions, like what is a blog party and why Practical Magic? A blog party is a virtual get-together in which a number of bloggers create blogs around a certain theme. Often it includes giveaways, drawings, and frivolity.
For the second part, Practical Magic is a book-turned-movie with wonderful imagery and story that captivated the hearts of those who wish for a little magic in their lives. The Practical Magic Blog Party offers just that.

I have been busily preparing for this year’s soiree, but what would this year be without reminiscing on last year’s adventure!
In September of last year, artist hubby and I took a week long trip to the Northwestern Coast. We visited Portland and Seattle. As we were preparing for the trip, I began researching the movie in hopes of coming up with a genius idea for my take on the theme for the blog party. Time passed quickly and I was afraid I would show up to the party empty handed.
As luck would have it though, I discovered that the little town where the movie was shot happened a short broom’s ride from Seattle in Coupeville, WA. I formulated a plan and walked away with these lovely offerings.
I hope you will consider these results an appetizer.
Let me take you on a tour of Coupeville’s waterfront, tell you stories that the villagers told me about the the cast and crew of Practical Magic and give you a first hand look at the magic of this place.
Verbina’s Botanicals: an interview with the current owner the herb shop in the movie. She says her shop was perfect for the movie. Find out why! (This video is my fave!)
A quick peek at the outside of Verbina’s Botanicals.
Vitality in Coupeville: the wise old aunts in Practical Magic were full of vitality, could Coupeville be the secret?
In the movie, Sally’s husband is nearly run down by a pack of bikes. This silly little clip is a play on that….and a great chance to meet my artist hubby.
