Wishcasting Wednesday: What do you wish to renew?

As the wheel of the year swirls to meet the birth of 2011, I am feeling  joyful and expectant.  I am revved up for making it a great one. I have, once again taken up Jamie Ridlers invitation to stir the pot of manifestation and cast a WISH for transformation in my life.  What do I wish to RENEW?

This is the year for such questions!

This is my year to INVITE MAGIC INTO MY LIFE.

Two things that inspire me are…

  • Working on myself (my favorite art project)
  • Collaborating with others (another favorite creative endeavor).

As I stepped into 2011, I knew I wanted to up my wellness quotient, so I created a Wheel of Wellness graphic inspired by a number of wellness wheels I have been fascinated with over the last several years.  I am hoping it will lead the way to improved wellness.

The Wheel of Wellness seems to have inspired many of the Creatives that find their way to The Art of Collecting Yourself, so I decided to create a Celebration of Wellness. And what better way to celebrate on-line than to host a Blog Party!

The Celebration of Wellness Blog Party

So, join me for a blogging series that can take us collectively around the wheel of wellness. But because this is a site that is about creativity and raging self-expression, I am going to throw in a twist.  I want to invite you to explore each spoke of the wheel in a creative way.  Creativity may look different to each of us.

Here is a Creativity Mandala that I developed for an Expressive Arts Workshop I led in Portland, Oregon for the Association for Creativity in Counseling in September 2010.  It might help you explore new means of self-expression.

DETAILS:

The party starts February 14th…for the love of SELF and CREATIVITY!

The Celebration of Wellness Blog Party will be a nine month spiral around the wheel of wellness.  Nine months to RENEW our sense of wellness. Nine months to birth a HOLISTIC outlook on life and a more positive connection with the way we are meant to live.

We will check in regularly to support one another’s self-exploration and growth.  We will take a month with each arm of the Wheel of Wellness, a month for Ourselves, and a month to reflect…NINE months.  Weekly opportunities for self-exploration will be offered, as well as, monthly Creative Projects for the area of study.  You may even opt to take a month off.  This is an organic group that will stretch to meet the needs of those who show up. The journey itself will be a place to practice WELLNESS & CREATIVITY.

The best part of this adventure will be getting to create the journey together, witnessing and sharing at our own level of comfort and expertise.

If you are game, slip a note into the comments saying you want to join the party.  More details will follow shortly.

If you aren’t game, feel free to leave a note in the comments, I love hearing from the wishcasters.  You inspire me.

I especially want to thank Jamie Ridler and the Creatives of Wishcasting Wednesday.  By showing up to MYSELF weekly, I’ve dreamed this into being.

Awesome, Roxanne! I could use a faerie of two. 🙂 I will be sending out preparatory messages as Valentines draws nearer. Looking forward to getting to know you better. In the meantime, I will be keeping you in my prayers for comfort as you honor the loss of your aunt and celebrate the depth with which she lived.

  2. Rae, as you wish for yourself, so do I wish for you as well. I love the Wheel of Wellness!

  9. The wheel of wellness sounds like an excellent plan to me. I seem to be always in need of finding a little me time which in turn helps me feel better and this sounds like a lovely creative way to do it. I’d like to participate. Thanks.

🙂 VERY inspirational! As you wish for yourself – and have invited others to join in with you – I wish for you all as well!

I’ll be moving towards the end of February, so I’m not making any new commitments. And my blogging has been haphazard at best in recent weeks, but it sounds like great fun and will join in as I am able.

Hi Ray! OMG that is too coincidental with the wolves and the painting! I am just following and honoring my intuition when I get it. And this wolf post has been resonating with a lot of my Wishcast mates! Thank you for stopping by. And your post is just lovely. I’m loving your blog, all the goodies and you. Your writing by the way is very captivating. Would love to do your blog party but have to pass. I just started a new full time job and I’m exhausted. But I’ll be back to visit!

As Rae wishes for herself, so I wish for her also!

    Love & blessings,
    xoxo Valerie

Transformation, inspiration, and motivation are words that emanate when I think of you. Comfort, wellness, and soul are words that resonate when I think of you.

In these so many years that I have come to discover and know the friends of Aislynn, I have opened up the me that never was. Most of the influential women in my life have branched from the tree of life known as my daughter and daily I still spend healing time with friends she introduced to me. I had no idea my Goddess existed until I met you all…

You, Rachel, my blessed friend, have moved from being my healing hands of comfort to my gentle nudge for wellness and wholeness.

Please please please let me once again break into the circle of those of you who so aggressively and intentionally seek to love and be loved in accordance with the true laws of the Universe.

In other words, count me in!!!! HUGS!!!!

    • Rae says:

Vicki! I am honored! I have been thinking back on our first days together. It started as I was putting the story about Irene together. Remember those days of everyone squeezing into the massage shop to do yoga? Who knew we would become so dear to one another. You know, life is a circle. For that which you find in me, I FIND IN YOU!
