30 Days of Creativity: Cultivating Silence

I live in a busy house with three other active adults.  We enjoy having conversations about our days, what we value in life, what isn’t going right, how we might fix what we can and find peace with what we can’t.  We are artist.  So we are doing and creating…and cleaning up after ourselves once we have finished.  It is exciting to live this way.  Our home is dynamic and engaging.

But sometimes dynamic and engaging is overwhelming, especially when I personally am already have an active mind and an active life.  So today for the 30 Days of Creativity project, I decided to create silence and stillness.  I have no picture to offer and no way of documenting it.  So, I would invite you….if you will….to see what it is like for yourself, by slicing out a bit of quiet in your own life.  Mine was lovely.

I think everyone should have at least a little self-love and creativity – what else is there? I think it’s smart to have a healthy balance which seems to be the problem of modern society. Inner peace is what is achieved.
